THE MAESA SCHOLARS’ FAIR

THE MAESA SCHOLARS’ FAIR

The MAESA Scholars’ Fair is on Friday, April 28, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School in Washington, D.C. The fair is open to 4th – 8th grade students and includes a juried art exhibit, science fair, geography and spelling bees, multimedia informative and multimedia creative presentations and a non-competitive design thinking activity. This one-of-a-kind event brings together more than 150 students from MAESA members schools in fourth through eighth grades for one action-packed day. Volunteer event judges are a very important part of this annual event especially in the art, science and multimedia categories. Please carefully review the registration form and consider the judges your school can bring to the MAESA Scholars’ Fair. Thank you!

The 2023 MAESA Scholars’ Fair Registration will be available on-line soon. Please complete the fillable form for your school at the bottom of this page by April 14, 2023. You can review the Scholars’ Fair guidelines for each category by visiting in the links below.

JUDGES: Required to have professional or educational background in event subject

The MAESA Scholars Fair depends on the dedicated volunteerism of adults from all participating schools to serve as judges for the events. Please review several reminders and changes to our 2022 Scholars Fair as you recruit adults to serve as judges from your school community. Thanks!
  1. NEW: With the addition of a math competition, we ask you to please bring 1-2 more adults to be judges in these events and keep the events running on time for our participants.
  2. Due to the number of Science Fair projects submitted, EVERY SCHOOL must provide a judge for the Science Fair—faculty, parent with science background or Senior student.
  3. The agenda has been designed this year to ensure time in between for judges to break for lunch, thus the need for a few more of them to serve in the rooms at the times designated to achieve this result!
