2022 Keynote Address:
“Be Strong and Courageous: The Mission of Episcopal Schools in Challenging Times”
The collect reminds us that our students are growing up in an “unsteady and confusing world.” As we know, Episcopal schools create communities where students can grow and thrive. However, how well equipped are we to articulate those things that set us part from other school communities? As school leaders, we strive to clearly express how our communities can be a good fit for a wide range of families representing diverse perspectives.
Our speaker will be The Rev. Dr. David Madison, Executive Director of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES). In his keynote, Fr. Madison will explore the impact of Episcopal schools and how our Episcopal identity informs the transformative work taking place with young people on our campuses. Further, Fr. Madison will share approaches and strategies for communicating our Episcopal identity that have been successful at other schools across the country, Together, we will also learn from each other in smaller breakout groups and share the unique elements in each of our schools while exploring how to develop them even further.
